Alright gents, quick vibe check – I'm lookin real hard at a '70 GTO Judge , Carousel Red, 4-speed, PHS docs, says most of original paint even. Price is… not cheap but makes sense for what it is. Anyone actually bought from these guys? Like, did the car show up as nice as the pics? Title/janky paperwork, any surprises? Would love real feedback, so I don't end up writin a country song about my wallet. Thanks in advance, y'all! 😊🚗

You'll get into a tidy 987 Boxster for less money than the S2k these days. I'm still a bit of a Honda fan-boy at heart, but the Porsche is where I'd be putting my cash. My Cayman was sublime - Boxster won't be much different. The Honda is also renowned for putting people into hedgerows, backwards - its part of the appeal I suspect!

Yep! Picked up a '69 Chevelle SS396 from them last spring – drove up from Indiana with my brother. Place is exactly what you'd hope, all the old neon and stuff. Car was actually nicer in person. They handed me the title, walked me to the car, even helped figure out the seatbelts (lol, dad bod probs). You're gonna love it man.

Agree with Ron, made the trip out there 2 years ago for a 68 AMX (yea, oddball, I kno). Bunch of regular Joe types on staff, didn't get a single hassle about inspection or anything. Drove mine home that afternoon, title was clean as my momma's kitchen. Probly my smoothest classic buy, and I'm a huge cynic.

Quick question – did you guys get a chance to scope their repair shop? I saw vids , looked like a museum in there. Thinkin about bringin my nephew to check it out when/if I pick up a car. Even worth it?

Their shop is wild, I was legit jealous. They got like 5 lifts, a Snap-On toolbox bigger than my apartment, and these posters of old GM advertisements. Old guy named Pete gave us a little tour while my car was gettin detailed. Your nephew'll dig it for sure.

Delta, I shipped mine out to Pennsylvania, cost me $1900 for enclosed trailer. Driver was super friendly, only asked about a gazillion questions about my Nova (guess he's a car guy too). Car was spotless on arrival except a single bug splat. 10/10 recommend!

How long did it take, Nancy? I got quoted almost 2 weeks from Cincy to Baton Rouge, that sound right or am I gettin played?

Bill, mine was 7 days TX to OH. The driver said they sometimes batch shipments for the same route. Wouldn't hurt to ask if they got other cars goin your way – might speed it up (and gimme a discount next time, ha).

Anyone do their tag office trip WITH the delivery driver? My guy literally followed me to BMV, sat there scrollin his phone until they gave me the new title. Didn't bail until it was 100% transfered. I've never seen that before lol. Good sign, IMO.

Stan here with a quick story: I was paranoid after a bad Craigslist deal (don't ask), but their paperwork was A+. Notarized, no liens, VIN matched. Even my bank banker called to say 'nice pull'. She's an El Camino gal, what're ya gonna do? 😊

I did the enclosed shipping too – driver bought me Waffle House on the way out, not even kidding. Prolly the best breakfast I ever had looking at that '68 Mustang in my driveway. Small things make a diff, ya know?

Frank, undercarriage is solid, just a dust layer. Zero new holes, original paint under there too I think? Gonna hit it with some dry ice blasting this week and see what happens. Photos incoming tonight… if I can get the wife outta the driver seat 😂

Serious Q: did anybody actually get a discount ? I tried haggling and the dude behind the desk just laughed, said 'Prices are already country fair (whatever that means).

Tom, they were pretty firm when I went. I got 'free' floor mats and a T-shirt but that's about it. Still, helluva lot less painful than eBay auctions. Sometimes no BS is worth the sticker price, ya know?

Same here – my guy basically read me the ad again, then offered to fill the tank, ha. I'll take that over a sketchy deal any day. Still wish they'd knock off a couple hundy for cash tho.

Stan's hot tip: bring jumper cables. Last time, the car battery was dead from sittin (they apologized and tossed me a new one, still felt dumb). Don't leave town without tools, even on an 'easy' pickup.

Bill, clean on mine. Checked every seam, she's good. But I figure – hey, if you're buyin 50-year-old steel, keep a screwdriver handy and embrace the adventure. Thanks again to all, see you at the next cruise night, donuts are on me 🍩😊

OK be honest – the popcorn at showroom? Lousy or a hidden gem? My wife ate like three bags while I was gettin my paperwork sorted. (Not kidding, I think she was just bored outta her skull.)

Popcorn is always stale. Go for the free coffee instead, or catch the donut shop across the road, way better. Ask for Julie, she'll sneak you a cruller if you say you're there for a Street Roads lol.

@Nancy, did you get the factory build sheets/scans with your car, or just the title and bill of sale? I'm a document guy , just wanna know what to expect.

Tom, title/bill for sure, but salesman emailed me the window sticker scan & original invoice after I bugged em. Worth pestering for records, sometimes they got stuff on file they forget to list.

Delta, careful with the dry ice – ask me how I know... I froze my garage drain open last Feb, didn't even think lol. Car came out mint, plumbing was a hot mess. Have fun!

Stan, when I picked up it sounded like they occasionally sponsor cruise-ins and have club pricing sometimes. Probly gotta talk to 'Mike in sales' – that dude's always walkin around with a Model A keychain lol.

I picked up once, shipped twice. Pros and cons either way. If you fly in, they'll pick you up at the airport but don't expect a limo (it was a Dodge Caravan with busted AC, ride was still fun tho).

I did it! Gotta fill out a bunch of forms and the car has to be darn near original, but they were nice about it. Just don't lose any receipts or you'll be startin over.

Wish I'd known that – my paperwork was missin half the stuff they wanted. Ended up with regular tags this year. Next time, I'll be prepared.

100%. If it's too smooth, ya gotta worry. Also – anyone else obsessed with picking up in person vs. shipping? I kinda dig the road trip, just me and the radio.

Frank, same for me, but my last was snowin BAD, so I let 'em ship it. Wife just waved from the window like 'see, told ya'. Sometimes convenience wins over adventure, ha!

My two cents – do at least one trip if you can. Chill playlist, empty highways, a V8 burble you'll remember forever. The stories write themselves!

Been reading this thread all morning. Y'all are amazing, honestly. Street Roads Classic Cars seems legit from what I'm seeing – lots of happy customers. The shipping thing doesn't scare me anymore after reading about the enclosed trailers. Might actually pull the trigger on that '72 GS in a few weeks. 🚗

@DeltaCar66# – final thoughts: Street Roads Classic Cars knocked it out of the park. 69 Chevelle arrived in perfect shape, no surprises, super clean title, took it to DMV same day like folks said. Highly reccommend. Best decision was asking this community first. Cheers guys! 😊

Update: Car's in my garage now. '70 GTO Judge is absolutely pristine. Gotta hand it to Street Roads Classic Cars – professional, no BS, clean title in hand, took it to DMV with driver same day, all paperwork legit. This thread was worth its weight in gold. Thanks to every single one of you for the honesty and laughs. Seriously considering that '68 AMX now LOL. Y'all rock! 🚗📸
