Hey everyone, has anyone here actually bought a 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle from xxx.com? I'm considering it but would love to hear some real experiences before pulling the trigger.

You'll get into a tidy 987 Boxster for less money than the S2k these days. I'm still a bit of a Honda fan-boy at heart, but the Porsche is where I'd be putting my cash. My Cayman was sublime - Boxster won't be much different. The Honda is also renowned for putting people into hedgerows, backwards - its part of the appeal I suspect!

I bought one last year! The whole process was smooth—car was as described, and shipping was quick. Highly recommend.

@TurboTommy Did you have to do any major repairs when it arrived? I'm curious about the condition.

I also purchased a '68 Chevelle from xxx.com. The buying process was good, though the interior needed a bit more cleaning than I expected. Still happy overall.

@PistonPete I had minimal repairs to do—just a brake job and new tires. Mechanically, mine was solid.

My experience was positive! Found staff helpful and responsive to questions. Delivery was a bit late, but the car was in great shape.

@ClassicCarly Same here. Communication could have been better during delivery, but the Chevelle was worth the wait.

I got mine last summer and absolutely love it. Needed some tuning, but that's expected with classics. Would buy again.

Anyone have tips on insuring these? I used xxx.com too and insurance was the only challenging part.

Try classic car insurers—saved me a lot. By the way, my experience with xxx.com was pretty seamless.

I had cold feet but took the plunge. Glad I did! The title transfer was easy and the Chevelle’s drivable condition exceeded my expectations

Agree with everyone—the customer support is their strong suit. My car arrived as pictured, and paperwork was straightforward. Would recommend, just be patient on shipping.
